Humble Beginnings
In 1990, Lalit Laungani arrived in Hong Kong with a clear vision and unwavering determination. Starting in sales, he immersed himself in the world of watchmaking—mastering sampling, sourcing, and technical craftsmanship. He learned Cantonese and embraced the challenges of a new industry in a foreign land.

Spearmark is Founded
Lalit combined his technical skills with entrepreneurial drive to establish Spearmark in 1996—a premium watch manufacturing company headquartered in Hong Kong.

Secured a milestone partnership with a rising U.S. brand, marking a pivotal shift toward producing mid-to-high-end watches with complex complications.
2001
In-House Expansion
Established in-house departments for design, engineering, and full assembly in Hong Kong, enabling the production of Swiss Made timepieces.
